Yup, that's me (*virtual fist bump to you if you read that in Raven Baxter's voice*). If I was asked to describe myself in three words, klutz would definitely be one of them. Time and time again, my feet have made it clear that they are not thrilled to be stuck with me. Which is no surprise, considering it wouldn't be the first time those feelings have been expressed to me. But I'm fine, it's fine. Regardless, I have fewer pairs of shoes than embarrassing moments and I haven't even lived two decades yet. That should be some kind of record. Or at least a fun fact on a cereal box so people can have something to boost their mood in the morning. If my clumsy moments were webcast for the whole world to see, I'd probably be as much of a viral hit as 'Scarlet Takes A Tumble' (props to those who still remember that video from 2009). How do I know, you ask? Roll the tape. Oh, wait, there isn't one. (praise the Lord!) Well, there's the time I fell flat on my butt [legs flailing in the air] in my church's parking lot while wearing a dress (yikes!), the time I slid onto muddy grass during a relay race in front of a group of teenage boys while wearing bootcut jeans, and the time I hit my head on my neighbor's wheel trying to jump into my parents' minivan (yikes!). I'm someone who'd be lying if I said I've never spilled the communion tray during the Lord's Supper (double yikes!!) (the sin of all sins, I know). These are just a few of the instances in which my sense of equilibrium proved to be close to nonexistent. Despite all of the tumbles I've taken (literally and figuratively), I have managed to "hold tight" to, at least, one piece of advice I got from a TV show called Awkward. (believe it or not). And that is to "ROCK YOUR AWK." These three words have been my motto for the past six years because I know how easy it is to feel embarrassed or insecure about what makes you different. But the Lord is quick to say, to those who are listening, that He loves who He has made you to be and He wants you to embrace that which sets you apart. Remember: AWKWARD IS AWESOME. The Lord is able to use you best when you are relying on HIS strength and HIS confidence to get through uncomfortable situations. Well, that's it for my first post on this rite of passage into young female adulthood, or as others like to call it, a blog. Btw, I realize that this post ended very abruptly and awkwardly, but if you actually read this entire post, then you'd know not to expect anything less. Signing off, I'm your host, plain-j. Good day, mate. (*cringe*)

Thank you! I try to keep it under control as much as I can when I'm in public and it seems like I'm doing an okay job, according to you. I am so glad that you could relate and that God still chooses to use clumsy people like us! :)

I'm so glad! It's such a relief to know that I'm not the only one who feels out of place sometimes. Thank you so much for your support! You are one of the coolest people I've met at Liberty, so that means a lot. Keep doing you, girl!
